London Rowing Club Wedding Photography; John & Ricki's autumn wedding

From the moment I arrived at John & Ricki's wedding at the London Rowing Club in Putney, it was clear it would be something special. It was modern and chic yet wonderfully relaxed, with an effortless warmth and charm that set the tone for the whole celebration.

One of the first things that stood out was the styling. The couple embraced warm autumnal tones that brought a cosy, seasonal richness to the space. Pumpkins tucked around the room, glowing candles on tables and windowsills, and beautifully arranged flowers created a romantic and atmospheric setting that photographed so beautifully.

After the ceremony, we headed outdoors for an almighty confetti throw!!

The team at London Rowing Club did a fantastic job with the room turnover - the lighting was just perfect and Ricki & John put so much in to the little table details. It looked wonderful!

And then came one of the absolute highlights! Ricki and John made their entrance to the dance hit “Freed From Desire,” and the entire room lit up! It was such a joyful, high-energy moment and set the tone for a night full of fun, music and celebration.

True to the relaxed spirit of the day, their food choice was brilliant: classic pie and mash served to a delighted room, with Guinness flowing all round. It added a sense of comfort, character and real personality to the celebration. Guests loved it, and it felt so true to Ricki and John’s style.

As the evening progressed and after a fantastic first dance, the music took over and everyone joined the dance floor with complete abandon. The atmosphere was electric, full of warmth, happiness and connection. Ricki and John moved through their guests with the ease of two people completely at home with each other and completely loved by those around them.

Ricki and John’s wedding at London Rowing Club was a beautiful blend of chic modern style, relaxed celebration and autumnal charm. Every detail felt intentional yet effortless, and every moment was filled with genuine joy. It was a pleasure to photograph a day so grounded in love, laughter and personality.
